Plant ID - rosettes

Please identify these rosettes for me. Most likely a weed as it has sprung amidst my phlox. The white flower to the left is cuckoo flower/lady’s smock. Thank you.

that puts me in mind of verbascum thapsus before it goes shooting off like a rocket

are the leaves soft and downy?

They are quite soft and slightly downy, however not as thickly downy as lambs ears or another verbascum (Common) that i bought potted. I will let them grow till they flower.
