This has taken over some of my containers. Any ideas what it is? It's quite pretty.

Looks a bit like white lobelia.

I don’t know what it is called but it spreads seed everywhere!

whywontteenswearcoats · 20/04/2018 15:30

Is it chickweed? Does it look like it's spreading all over? Whatever it is get it hoiked out while the flowers are still on and it hasn't had a chance to form seeds for next year

Bitter cress she said bitterly. If it isn't yarrow , it's ground elder and now this stuff every where this year

Trethew · 20/04/2018 16:19

Bitter cress, (Cardamine hirsuta). Get it out ASAP or those little thin seed pods will explode sending seeds everywhere

Its nickname is Jumping Jesus

LiteraryDevil · 20/04/2018 16:23

Thank you! Definitely bitter cress! Nothing came up in searches until I had some ideas to google. I've only got pots so can't take over much. I've got it all out I think. Not seen it before this year. Don't think my rhubarb likes it!

Pull it up whenever you see it, it is a nightmare and can spread a long way. The seed pods pop and the seed flies everywhere.
