Pruning a pollarded sycamore in April?

We have a sycamore in our new garden that has been pollarded. It looks like there’s a couple of years of growth on it. Is it too late in the season to have it cut back?

Go for it

I'm no expert but I seriously doubt you could do any harm if you prune it now .

Not the same but the pollarded lime trees in our street were pruned by contractors when in full leaf and came to no harm .

Great. The tree surgeon I spoke to said the same thing. I was just slightly wary that he might be just saying that to get the work!
