Opinions please.

I have a north east facing garden. After many years it's starting to get there.
I have a mixture of dry and wet shade. And have been replanting the garden to make this work better. I'm a learner Gardener.

I have a plum tree that gives delicious plums. The bed underneath this is dry shade in the summer and in the spring it looks quite good, lots of bulbs, aquilegia etv but looks bare in the summer. It's quite dark . I have some geraniums at the front of the bed and some cyclamen as well.
However I'm thinking about putting in gallium odaratum ( woodruff) in and maybe moving some of the plants to elsewhere in the garden for a longer lasting flower.
(basically the garden tends to look ok in the early spring but I want to make it look better for longer).

Meant to add - advice please!

I have woodruff in damp shade ,it's taken a few years to establish but for some reason had now taken off like a rocket .

I also have forget me knots and dead nettle - red nancy has lovely evergreen silvery splotched leaves .

Google 'plants for shade' they are a brilliant independent nursery. They have all sorts of excellent suggestions.

I'm a big fan of Omphalodes cappadocica 'Cherry Ingram'.
It flowers in my shady garden for months with lovely blue flowers.
