Sorrowful azaleas!

Any advice on what is up with these? I inherited 3 in pots last year. I repotted them in ericaceous compost but they haven't improved. I've just moved one into a border. They are desperately trying to flower but something has had a munch on them, and they are woody and straggly. Any advice welcome!

Are they getting enough light and water?

I thought so, but wondering if they have become pot bound. Would that cause such decline though? I have moved one into a bed so maybe I should move the others too?

Pot bound is probably the answer. Repot in a larger pot, a nice ornamental one. Make sure you use ericaceous compost mixed with perlite for good drainage. They like to grow in acidic soil.
Water with rain water, tap water will kill them.
I have rescued several Amelia’s from the sick plant bench and have followed the above instructions. I’ll attach a photo of them in flower last May. I’m hoping they do as well this year!

The peach one was the saddest! It’s now bushy leaved, I’m hoping the flowers are as good.
