Garden gift for a 50th wedding anniversary?

It’s not until summer but I’m starting to think about parents 50th wedding anniversary gift. They like gardening , although are beginners , and feeding and watching birds in the garden. I’m thinking about something garden-ish, it could be a plant/ tree/ furniture etc but I’m lacking inspiration on the golden theme. Got them a cherry tree for their 40th which went down well. Will probably go halves with my sister so could push the boat out a bit. Any ideas??

There is a very nice David Austin rose called Golden Wedding.

There isa also a camellia called Golden Wedding but if it is a summer anniversary then a camellia is the wrong season as they are spring flowering.

How about a good quality pergola/seating arrangement if their garden doesn’t already have similar, somewhere to sit and admire their garden from? Something like a lovely wooden arbour with a bench they can sit on together, or a ‘conversation seat’ if there’s a good place for it.

What about a lovely bird house/feeding table? I got one for my birthday a few years back and i love it. The RSPB have some nice ones here.

Binoculars to watch the birds close up from inside?

Thank you for replies- It’s good to get some concrete ideas. They like roses so that is an easy one- the swing seat looks good but mum is a bit wobbly getting up and down- I could see that ending badly! I do think some sort of seating would be nice. They have got a quite elaborate bird feeder thingy but now I’m wondering about a bird bath.

Bird bath is a lovely idea, massive choice out there.

A bench where they can sit and hold hands.
