Hot bin - worth the ££?

I really want to get a hot bin, but are they worth it? We have a compost bin (a rather large one!!) and we have run out of room in it... from what I have read, the hot bins seem to take a fair bit but also break it down quickly?

I'm mentally trying to justify the cost though!!!

A college of mine has a hot bin and really rates it.

Id like to get one too but its out of my budget. If I had the cash I would buy one right away. I love composting. I really like the plastic dalek ones as they keep the moisture in so it doesn't dry out.

Whatever you choose its great that you are composting. I just wish more people would do it :)

You don’t need to spend £££ to hot compost. I hot compost using normal Darlek bins. It is just a ,attempt of getting the mix of compostable materials right and turning the compost regularly.

Will explain the process fully.
I keep 3 compost bins on the go plus another for leaf mold. The whole process gets a bit addictive and before you know it you will be casting a eye around the garden looking for another place to put a new bin.
