Greenfly

Last year my lovely petunias were destroyed by greenfly. Some suggested mixing a little washing up liquid with water and lightly spraying the flowers, this didn't work. Has anyone else got any tips?

I was told it to do with the washing up liquid you use. We have fairy and I have spayed my pinks, roses and cauliflower and work on all of them. You do have to do it two to three days in a row.
