How do you choose a patio?

We are redoing our garden this year. We currently have very grey, old concrete slabs down. I want something quite plain, so it's not necessarily a feature. I want something that will last (so not concrete again, I'm thinking) but not too expensive. I think I am overthinking it because I have visited garden centres to look at displays and seemingly spent hours on the internet and still can't find anything I particularly like!

Help!

Look at the Marshalls catalogue. They have lots of ideas. If you have a London Stone Co near you you can see all sorts of stones.

For hard wearing avoid Indian sandstone, it looks beautiful but marks and stains very easily.

Thanks AstrantiaMajpr.

I’ve never sorted anything like this. Do I just contact some hard landscapers and tell them I’m on a limited budget or just wait for their quotes?

If you Download the Marshalls catalog they have a list of approved landscapers. I got mine from there and he was briliant. They don’t only do Marshall products as they are top price end. Also google Local Landscapers. Most will give a free quote and lots of advice. These things always come out much more than you expect. The cost of disposal of the old stuff is huge. You can save money if you are prepared to take it to a tip yourself. I think it is a good idea to decide on a budget and then find someone who is willing to work on that.

That's great, thanks. I'm finding it all very daunting!
