When to prune fruit trees?

I have an apple,cherry and pear tree I think they are dwarf or miniature they are about 7 or 8 foot tall.
When can I prune them?

We pruned our apple and pear trees at the weekend. Hopefully this was the right time of year!

I think you prune things like apples in winter when dormant and then stone fruit like plums when they are growing so early summer onwards.

Cathpot is right. Apple and pear BEFORE the buds break I.e NOW! Smile

Cherry and plum are prone to silver leaf disease so get pruned in June/July.
