I am planning to sort out the garden of our home this year - we've been there nearly two years and it needs a good sort out as a lot of things have got out of hand, are past their best or are just not to our tastes. I've got a good idea of what I want to order and specific varieties I'm looking for and was wondering which suppliers you would recommend? I'm looking for camellias and other acid soil loving plants predominantly and the garden is mainly woodland style.

Crocus without a doubt. I had my garden made over last year. They were absolutely the best suppliers. Avoid Primrose at all costs.

I was recently really pleased with some shrubs I purchased from Jackson’s, Stoke on Trent. Bigger and sturdier than I expected - will see how they do!

Thank you both - I have a lot of clearing and pruning/hacking back and digging up to do before re-painting!

Beth Chatto gardens are good for perennials.

We've used Charella Gardens online before with no issues. 4 large shrubs arrived very quickly, very well packaged and miles cheaper than a local garden centre.

Thank you for the additional suggestions - the previous owner was a Beth Chatto fan. I know because she left us her (many) gardening books.
