Daffodils growing in Nov?

I planted some daffodil bulbs in September. I'd heard it's better to plant before winter. They're now sprouting. Obviously if they grow they will die won't they? Did I plant too early? Thanks.

Our doffs are just about out ( too dark to take a photo now , but we often have daffs in bloom in December )
We saw some were out at a local historical garden last week

I have some sprouting too, they won't bloom for ages yet. They shouldn't die.

now they won't die, they stop growing in frost, but will be fine
