Smelly plant recommendations please!

My local council have, in their infinite wisdom, allowed a greasy cafe to open up in the house next door. I won't go into the ins and outs, however suffice it to say, the cooking oil fumes are noxious.

Please can you recommend any smelly plants that will bloom and make the smell? If probably won't, but at least I can try.

It's a north facing garden. Rosemary grows very well, as does swiss chard. I've tried puttin in a climbing rise and that hasn't worked at all.

I thought of the Curry Leaf Plant. I can't think of any pungent plants.

Please help!! Thanks. 🍀🌿🍀🌱

Not sure of anything that’ll smell all year but pittosporum flowers smell amazing when there put in the spring.

Thank you - I'll make a note of it. 😊

Sarcocca hookeriana 'Winter Gem' is a smallish shrub bearing small white flowers in winter - it has a wonderful scent, but I don't think you'll be able to overcome pongs from the greasy spoon very easily with scented plants.

Gardenia, among the most famous fragrances in the garden world, gardenias bear a heavy scent and lovely white flowers. Happily, this shrub can be grown indoors or out. :)

Complain about the smell - they may have inadequate extraction or extraction that needs cleaning.
