I've been growing red onions this year, with some success. When the foliage died off in autumn, I dug the bigger ones up and left the smallish ones in the gound to see whether they'd grow any bigger. They've all re-sprouted and now have green foliage again. Should I leave this to die off or can I dig them up and put them in the greenhouse to dry out then eat them? Will they still taste OK? Thanks in advance for any advice, wise gardeners of MN!
