What would be nice to plant in the window box planters of my shed this year for a change?

Usually I just put some nice 'hot' coloured geraniums in pots in the planters. But I was wondering about putting trailing strawberries or some other nice plants in them for a change. Ideas anybody? Please

Strawberries would be good - unless you have lots of mice in your shed (they'll eat the lot).

Salad leaves? Nice mix of colours.

I did a mix of hot coloured poppies last year in an old trough. They looked incredible.

tumbling tomatoes? chilis? basil? depends how wet the pots can stay - if they are scorched then some scorch-tolerant herbs like thyme, oregano, marjoram

I've already got a little herb garden, so probably don't need those. The tumbling tomatoes idea sounds good or the strawberries or again something nice & bright and colourful. I love watering, so that's not a huge problem.

Thank you! I shall look forward to a trip to the garden centre tomorrow.
