Which way should bee hotels face? Ours is under a deep terrace, but south facing, so it gets an hour or two of direct sunshine on it, but the rest is just warmth on the terrace. It has been eagerly used in this first year, and most holes hatched too. Only a few left unhatched.
I am wondering whether south is really really wrong? Don't want to fry the bees. Expertise appreciated.
