I really want a veggie garden but worried that a)left it too late to plant seeds and we are short of cash so hubby said no more buying actual plants for garden. b) the site i have allocated, well only site i have only gets about an hour of sun a day, if that.

I have planted some tommy's and they are doing ok but the dwarf beans and corgettes dont seem to have germinated but i think its only been a week since planted them. I have a little mini green house.

Any tips for suitable seeds etc

Not too late for seeds at all

Only one hour of sun isn't great, but some thingsm like onion sets, garlic, parsley etc will still do well

A week isn'[t really long enough to judge, and it has been really dry. Did you water them?

lucyellensmum · 12/04/2007 14:41

yes, they are in a seedtray still, not planted outside yet as site not ready

I think you need to give them a bit longer. DD and I planted carrots ages ago and they have only just germinated. Is it warm enough in your mini green house?

im worried its actually too hot - i have carrots to plant but only have shady spot, oh dear, its not looking good is it, we wont eat this year
