I didn't cut my grass all summer.
We have 2 dry days in a row due.
I only have a lawn mower-no strimmer and can't afford one.
Can I cut my 2 foot(ish grass with a mower?

I doubt you're mower will handle it, I am in charge of our rear garden grass (I won't call it a lawn because it's not posh enough) but if it ever gets anywhere like long the mower struggles and gives up.
If it's any help you'll get a strimmer really cheap at this time of year!

It's a meadow, not a lawn now! Your options
: sheep
:scythe
: strimmer

Lawn mower no good at this length. However garden equipment all reduced in October

Can you borrow a strummer from a neighbour or friend?

Make hay?

Seriously though, if it's not a big lawn could you use hedge shears or similar to cut it down to a size your mower could handle?

What sort of mower? A cheap hover mower might be ok but you probably won't be able to "mow" with it. You can pick it up and place/wobble it across the long grass.
You've got nothing to loose by trying!
