Can anyone help I have a small pond and want to build a waterfall as a feature. Don't know where to begin?!I've got the rocks etc and I can invisage it in my head but everytime I try it doesn't work out right..

Watching with interest. i have a vision of cascading water down a rockery , powered by a solar pump, but no idea where to start. There was one featured on Garden Rescue the other day.

interested in any advice as well- seems way beyond my skill set. has anyone seen the 'pre-formed' waterfalls? are they very plasticky looking in real life?

It's not as complicated as it sounds, the main thing is to use a good quality pond liner under your rocks etc, and it needs to extend right into the pond. I used to work in a garden centre and as soon someone came in with falling water levels we'd ask "do you have a waterfall"!

The other thing to bear in mind is that oxygen levels in the pond will fall at night anyway (due to photosynthesis) so waterfalls and fountains need to be run at night in the summer or you may lose fish, nearby neighbours may not appreciate this!
