We're in the process of buying a house. Spotted this in the garden of the house we are buying and I am wondering if it is Japanese Knotweed. I'm going to get a firm round to check but please could anyone give me their view as I'm a bit stressed about the prospect of a problem with our dream home. Thank you!

I don't thinks so, JK has an erecting growth and would have more than one stem rising from the ground. Your picture looks like a more floppy plant.

That is DEFINITELY not knotweed

Thank you! That is a relief. I will still get a survey as the house opposite has it so it could be lurking somewhere else but, hopefully, it will all be ok.

I can see properly from the photo but it may be Bindweed- does it grow around and tie itself up existing plants?

No, it's not knotweed or bindweed.

It's a kiwifruit vine.

Kiwi. Got loads coming from next door myself. Very pretty.
