I can't tell if this is 1 big tree or lots of small ones. Would it work in a front garden?

It looks like a type of shrub. Several have that type of leaf. Were there any flowers?

Looks like Sorbus to me. Did it have Berries?

I'm not certain but it looks to me like Indigofera, indigo plant. They have racemes of purple/pink pea flowers mid-late summer, but that looks like a shady site so maybe no be flowers.

And yes, if that's what it is, ideal for a sunny front garden. You cut it back to a few inches in the sppring, just like a fuchsia. Needs about 4' by 4'

A close-up of a leaf would be useful.

I thought it was similar to a sorbus, will go back for a closer pic of leaves. Thanks

Just in case you haven't solved the puzzle, here's a picture of Indigofera in my garden now
