I've got some holly bushes that are now as tall as trees, I want to get rid of them do I need a gardener or a tree surgeon?

Some hollies can grow very tall. The wood is quite heavy and trees are always larger than you think, when they are felled. I'd get a tree surgeon company, who will do the job properly and remove all the waste.

Yes that waste will need shredding.

Going against the grain, we had a holly tree next to our very narrow drive we had taken down and our gardener was happy doing it. He also removed two diseased plum trees for us in the past.

I chopped up all the branches and stuffed in bags, he took a chainsaw to the trunk and the thick wood and we've stored it all in the garage for a couple of years to dry out, he charged a grand total of £90! a fraction of the cost of a tree surgeon. I guess it depends on how confident the gardener is

DJ will do it!!

He is neither Gardner nor tree surgeon but has cut down several of our trees!!
