I got seeds from someone and I think it's a plant with little red berries on it, but not sure. I planted the seeds about 2 months ago and it's grown pretty quickly.

Oh, I think you might be right. I got the seeds when I was in SE Asia. It was a bush that I was admiring and it had red seeds on it. I never actually thought they'd grow here after so long.

Do you think it would be safe to plant in the garden? I didn't want to add anything that I shouldn't have and that might get rampant.

It should be safe, they don't spread overly wide, although they can grow up to 5m tall or more. You may get seedlings dotted around the garden too!
