Lawn

I laid a new lawn from turf last year. The grass now appears very thin with patches of soil between the blades. Does anybody have a tips to regenerate the lawn. I would prefer organic methods if possible?

That's a shame.
I would throw some new seed down and water it in if it's dry. And hope for the best.

Wilko is good for lawn seed if you have one nearby. You can scoop the seed from barrels and weigh your own Smile

They also sell this product which may or may not work:

Do you have issues with moss or weeds? Does the lawn receive much sun?

Thanks for the advice @GingerKitCat and @GloriaV - do you think I should lay the seed now or should I wait until September or October?

I sprinkle lawn seed any time to fill gaps, for example from weedkilling dandelions or similar. Perhaps the turf was very fine grass rather than everyday family lawn.

Yep should be fine to apply now! If you're not getting much rainfall give it a water every night or put a sprinkler on it. Also avoid walking on it for a couple of weeks.

Once it's established mow on a high setting to snip the tops of the blades. This will encourage the grass to bush out and fill gaps Smile

Great advice folks. I will get the stuff from Wilko and try it now.
