In the winter the old leaves were covered in black stuff. I googled and decided it was honeydew from greenfly as that looked the closest fit even though I'd not noticed greenfly in the summer. Earlier this year I sprayed Rose Clear on it but now the new leaves look like this and no sign of nasties. It's been growing for about 8 years or more and this is the first time it's happened.
