Summer flowering Hellebore

It's mid July and I have a Hellebore in flower. Three flowers and a bud! It was a seedling, last year, from another garden.

Nice hellebore! This is strange, but I guess sometimes plants just get a bit confused. Alternatively you could have an exciting new variety of hellebore growing in your garden!

I have an Autumn fruiting raspberry that fruits in May, weeks before my Summer fruiting ones and months before my other Autumn fruiting raspberries. All my Autumn fruiting raspberries are the same type and grown in the same location, under identical circumstances, so there is no obvious reason why one of them acts so differently. It does it every year.

I guess we'll have to put it done to the vagaries of gardening!
