It's a lily.

Don't think it's a lily, similar yes but has lots of tiny buds.

Looks like Liatrus, could be pink or white.

or mauve. Agree with JT Liatris spicata

It's a lily. They have more than one flower. I have had them in my garden, it should sprout orange flowers.

Definitely liatris spicata. Just been to compare your pic with ours. We are agog to see how it turns out. Never tried it before.

Yes, definitely Liatris Spicata. I love them and grow lots of them! They're a lovely shape and you get months and months of satisfaction out of seeming them grow and change, even before they start to flower. A really great plant!
