Plant or Weed id please

Hi This has taken over a corner in the garden. The flowers are very pretty but unsure whether its a plant or weed. Thanks in advance

It's a Pheasant berry ! Official name Leycesteria. I like them, but the do self seed everywhere, but are easy to identify and pull out.
Every Autumn you can chop them down to a few inches and they spring up again. Or you can lightly prune and get a larger plant.
They are useful for hiding unsightly bits of garden and will grow in semi shade.

Thank so much I would never have figure that out. It seems quite happy in its shady spot so will leave it until autumn and then follow your advice. Thanks again
