Broken phlox!

I think the neighbours cat has broken my phlox! It's snapped about an inch up the stem. I'd only planted it last week. Any chance of saving?

How upsetting! The good news is that It will spring up from the bottom. Phlox spread by sending shoots up from the base. Keep it well watered and feed it. You may be lucky and get flowers towards the end of August.

If it's just bent over, then you could try holding it up with a stake or a plant support. I've actually used Gaffer tape in this situation, and wound it gently round the bent bit of stem to give stiffness and support Grin

The same thing has just happened to me! I think I'll try the gaffer tape idea too, thank you! :P
