First year of planting these and they look lovely in the shade .
But some of them have completely fallen apart .

I thought at first that an animal might have damaged them but now I'm wondering if it's overwatering .It had taken me a while to plant them out and in my efforts to nurture the plugs I may have been to generous with the water .

Any views ?

I think I planted them too deep so that there was earth too high up on the stem Sad

Until recently they were withdrawn from sale, due to a fungal virus.
Now they're back I hope it hasn't started again.
They are susceptible to being too wet.

It was very sudden ,a complete collapse .So I think not fungus ( hope not ) but too wet .
