Another edging question - guinea pig related.

I have guinea pigs that have mostly free rein in the garden.

Unfortunately, they have a habit of biting off the stems of things, not to eat (they rampaged through my euphorbia) but to make navigable paths through the undergrowth or little soft places. So, I've had to fence them off from the borders. It's ugly stuff though, either chicken wire or those wire squares. I'm looking for edging that is a) reasonably attractive/hidden b) that guinea pigs can't squeeze through or jump over. My guinea pigs look like fat buggers but it's amazing what a small space they can get through.

Has anyone seen something reasonable or is this going to be a DIY job? On the plus side, I don't have to mow!
