Play Area Flooring

Hello! I was just wondering what everyone else uses for play area flooring in the garden please? I've ruled out wooden bark chippings in case of splinters. Ideas and recommendations are welcome! Thank you

ive been to a play area that had wooden 'nuggets' rather than just bark, much smoother and i think less likely to have splinters. It looked cleaner too. Maybe worth a look?

our climbing frame is just on the lawn with no special flooring.

We used play bark. Bigger pieces and no splinters. Bit more pricey than wood chippings but not much.

Just a warning our cats thought that the bark we put down was just for them to use as a toilet!

Yeah I heard same about cats and bark chippings that has put me off. The area we want to cover is in an awkward space so not easy to mow if we have grass.

Has anyone used solid rubber tile mats?

Thank you for responding so far :)
