Help me identify this grass

With my extremely absent knowledge of plants, please can someone identify this grass?
It's about a foot high, it's quite fast growing and I thought it may be a weed but the leaves look too long and pointy.
Trying to clear the ever present weeds in my garden so do I keep or get rid?

I think it's just ordinary grass having a bit of a rampage.

Could be wild oats, or barley escaped from a bird feeder, I pulled up a load of similar-looking stuff yesterday.

As long as it doesn't get too out of control, watch it for a while and see what it does!
