Weeds on my path!

I've rejuvenated my garden path with a ton of plum slate chippings and it looks lovely!

However the weeds are already starting to poke through. Can anyone suggest what to use on them? I'm wondering if vinegar mixed with something would work?

Partner wants to use chemical spray, I don't as we have animals :)

I inherited a flame gun and we've just given it a go on our patio and gravel paths, rather satisfying, but time will tell how effective it is in the long run.

I have never tried it myself but boiling water is supposed to kill weeds pretty effectively.

My previous gardener used vinegar one some pretty aggressive weeds in my garden and it seemed to work pretty well. I'm not sure how environmentally friendly it was (or what concentrate he used). Vinegar is acetic acid and can be pretty potent. Not sure you can say it's not a chemical :)
