So excited

I've been to the garden centre and bought some new shrubs to fill a bed that I've decided to do something with. I'm a very novice gardener and I've been really inspired by this board. I've bought five hebes, all variegated and with a pink or puple leaf; lots of white, pink and little lady purple lavender; a pink and a white wiegela; photinia Louise and escallonia apple blossom. I bought pittosporum Elizabeth last week and will put that in too. I have some spare dwarf geraniums for ground cover too. I am so excited about it all. Hoping it looks as good in the bed as it does in my head.

Wow, you have been on a spending spree! They all sound really lovely.
Some of your shrubs could grow quite large, but you can keep them manageable by pruning after flowering. They should be ok this year while they're new.

Thanks. I will definitely be pruning back when necessary as I need to keep it under control. The last six months has been spent cutting back and moving things around to get the very overgrown garden under control so I won't be going back! I just wanted this bed to look nice pretty much straight away. I am really looking forward to getting it all in.
