Hi,

I've recently moved and these plants are in the garden. Are they weeds or plants?

I'm not sure if should be watering them or pulling them up!

First one is aquilegia I think. Lovely bell-like flowers.

First one definitely aquilegia. Could the second one be a skimmia japonica?

DailyMaui · 05/05/2017 14:07

first - aquilegia - they self seed all over the place and are fabulous.

second one don't know but not a weed.

Aquilegia and skimmia.

Both plants not weeds, though the aquilegia will self seed and pop up all over the place. I encourage it to do so in my garden.

The skimmia is evergreen and gets flowers later in the year.
