Plant ID for a clueless gardener

This plant is growing well in a shaded spot in MIL's garden.

What is it, and what else would grow in the same conditions?

Sorry for stupid questions, we are both clueless!

It's an arum.

It's pretty rampant in my garden, grows just about everywhere, so what else would grow there is a bit of an open question!

What kind of plant is she looking for? Shrubs, annuals, perennials or trees? Anything else you can tell us about the conditions?

Mmm ,well if it's what I think it is Lords and Ladies/Arum maculatum then I'd get it out before the whole garden is swamped .

I think it likes woodland like conditions ,shade ,moist etc .

This www.mumsnet.com/Talk/gardening/2441728-Shady-characters-a-permanent-home-for-shade-garden-suggestions has lots of suggestions for plants that like shade .

Arum italicum "Marmoratum"
Will grow in dry shade.
You could try.
Helloborus orientalis species
Epimediums
Vincas
Some ferns

Depends how dry and how shady.
