Will grass grow?

We have a very small back garden, northeast facing with not very much sun. Our house and next door are 3 storey so that cuts out the sun, and at the back border there are very tall trees/brambles etc.

So, would real turf grow? Or shall we get artificial grass? Garden is currently paved all over.

there are shade loving grasses that would work. you need to go to a larger garden centre to get a good selection.
however if you have paving now it would either take a foot or so of topsoil or backbraking work to take off the paving. both expensive. so maybe in your case artificial is the best way to go
