Can I paint glazed flower pots?

Last owners of our house left several large glazed pots which I would like to use but they aren't very attractive- mottled striped brown . Has anyone had any luck repainting pots? They are big enough that I need something durable as they will be a pain to redo.

Try hammorite I think - it's a spray paint used out doors

I've successfully painted unglazed terracotta with Annie Sloane chalk paint, and also painted a cast iron urn with Hammerite to stop it rusting, then painted over that with A S chalk for a Matt look.
It's been outside for a year and still looks good.
