Small evergreens for this bed

I made this bed at the end of Autumn last year, so I'm not quite sure how all the plants are going to look together as they grow, but I do think it could do with a bit of winter/all year round interest.

We have a hellebore but I'm wondering more about some small shrubs for towards the back maybe. I've put a cutting of a rhododendron in the top left corner, but a bit stuck with what else! There are two roses in the bed, so I don't want anything that will overpower them when they're both big during the summer IYSWIM.

It is fairly close to a pine tree, so things that like acidic soil would do well here. Also gets fairly good sun.

I prefer silvery foliage rather than reds. Any ideas?! Smile

Actually, looking at it as a photo rather than IRL, I'm wondering whether one rose is enough. So I think I'll take one of them out if that changes things.

Small hebes might pull the bed together, and would not overpower the roses.

Oh good idea, I've got a little hebe cutting.
