We've been here almost 10mths and haven't done anything with the garden yet.
It's almost an acre, all laid with turf but has 2 easements (running down either side), a 4m square concrete slab for the water tank and a 3m square concrete slab for the shed and over half of the lawn area is taken up with the transpiration area for the septic tank so we're very limited in what we can do.
The garden is basically rectangular and the ground isn't great quality as it was the block was the storage area for all the stones for the railway that runs at the bottom of the garden.
We can plant shrubs and garden beds over the easements with the understanding that if any work needs doing we will have to dig up the plants / shrubs.
The lawn is great and grows very quickly but it's sooooo boring. I'd love to bring some colour in and actually have a garden of some description but I don't know where to start.
