What is this plant I'm thinking of?

I can't remember the name of it so I hope my vague description is ok.

It's a bit bushy and I've seen it come out in little pink flowers. I think it is more of a plant than a bush though.
Can anyone name what I'm thinking of? Driving me crazy trying to think!

Erm....that is a bit vague, IAm, sorry! Any more clues? Can you remember what the leaves look like? Roughly how tall is the plant? Is it in flower now?

I know, sorry.
I think it stays green during the colder months and blooms during spring/summer. They grow to about knee height. It's not like full on flowers, more like lots of tiny little ones if that makes sense. It's a bit spiky looking rather than big leaves.

Gosh, someone else will have ideas but I'll start off with a bit of a shot in the dark! Not a cistus, by any chance? Doesn't sound quite right though.....

Can you draw a picture of it or its leaves? If you can get a sample there's a few websites you can email and they'll look it up for you.

Is it a plant you'd buy or a wildflower?

How little are the flowers?

There is a clematis (I think) that lots of people near me seem to have in their gardens and it's in bloom right now. Pale pink flowers maybe an inch and a half wide.
