I saw some of these in a garden for the first time today.they are lovely! Tulips are one of my favourite flowers.

I very nearly wrote 'what is this tulipish flower? ' as the title and it turns out - a tulip! It threw me as it comes out of a big mass of leaves rather than as single plants - presumably they have been there a long time. Thank you for the ID! - I might risk digging some up when they are over spreading them around.

Oh I have. These as well. I bought them in a pack of alpine bulbs. I planted six and now I have about thirty!
