Border ideas for novice

This year I created and planted a border with daffodils and crocuses. At the moment it looks great but I am a complete novice. What do I do when the daffodils start wilting? Do I just cut the heads off and leave the green or cut them back completely?

And then any ideas what else I could plant to have something to look at for the rest of the year?

It needs to be fairly easy and low maintenance as I am very much a fair weather gardener.

Thanks!

Assuming you get a decent amount of sun, how about lavender, alchemilla mollis and maybe cosmos - lovely combo of perrenials and low maintenance too.

Oh, and with the daffs, when they're dead you need to dead head them but leave the green. Then when all the green is dead cut them right down.

Thankyou! I'll head down to the garden centre tomorrow.
