Am i too late for strawberry plants?

I've been looking out for strawberry plants from lidl/aldi (as ours are 3 years old now and looking a bit weathered) a google search said march! Have i missed out? Im reluctant to go to the garden centre as will probably end up paying a fortune....

They put out runners. Could you keep the new plants from the runners and dig up old leggy ones?

The Aldis near me got them in 2 weeks ago. There were some left on Saturday, but they hadn't been watered so were looking a bit worse for wear...

I'm sure Wilkinsons, Home Base and B&Q all do them too.
