Rhubarb starting to flower

This is on the South Coast. Mild winter followed by a mild spell, fair sun, established plants.

They are forming pale green flowering heads. Is this significant? I don't recall seeing it before.

mm - they do like lots of water - have you had a wet winter?
Cut the flowers off if you want any rhubarb though :)

Mine have a tendency to do this; I have to watch them like a hawk. Take the flowers off straight away if you want rhubarb. The flowers are really meh too; I once left a few in case they were spectacular.
