Pond plant reccomendations

I'm coming to the end of refurbishing my 4mx3mx1m garden pond, the aim is to be a wildlife pond.

I'd love some plant reccomedations or links to good pond websites if you guys have any?

Water lilies are beautiful, they come in small and medium sizes, avoid the largest variety. Water mint can be pretty, but invasive. Most aquatic centres at garden centres will also sell pond plants. It's a bit early for them, they tend to go on sale after April.

I've seen some really beautiful water lilies online but aren't they expensive! I've got about £80 worth of plants in my basket on one website 😫
