Is there any point in planting spring bulbs now?

I found a couple of bags of bulbs earlier which I meant to plant in the autumn but didn't. Is there any point in planting them now? I'm worried that if I wait until this autumn they will dry out and that I'll forget again

Best to plant in pots or troughs in good compost, to get them started. Depending what they are, plant out when some leaves are showing. But it is VERY late, so they may struggle to catch up.

I tried this once and they just came up blind, ie leaf but no flower.

I found some bulbs in my shed ( found dry in a pot in a skip ) from Oct and had forgotten about .

I potted them up about 6 weeks ago .I think they'll be blind but I'm hoping that the chicken pellet manure I mixed in the compost and the leaves will result in flowers next year .

But if this is mission impossible I'd like to be forewarned by more experienced people .
