hazel bean sticks

I'd like to grow runner beans up traditional sticks rather than bamboo this year - think they are hazel. Has anyone got an idea where to get them? We are near Banbury off the M40.

Thanks

hazel grows like a weed - you shouldn't need to buy it. Do you have a friendly farmer with a hedge you can plunder? Or a friend with a big garden?

One watchout - hazel is very fertile and tough and roots at the drop of a hat. If you stick fresh hazel in the ground you may end up with a row of hazel trees. Burning the ends a bit (on the barbie!) or winding some parcel tape over them will stop this happening.

Otherwise try here
