DH has been going on about it for a few weeks as every time he walks past it on the pavement he thinks it smells lovely. It is in flower now (Cornwall) and I have to agree it does smell nice.

It looks like a Daphne but I wouldn't know which of the many varieties.

Yes, it's a daphne. You can get lovely variegated ones and they do smell DIVINE! I think that might be Daphne odora leucanthe, but I am not sure.

Oh, and take your credit card when you go to buy one! They are pricey!

I just asked my DH for a bulk bag of compost for Valentine's day. He was a bit .

And trethew is definitely right about the ID - it's aureomarginata. I can see the edges on my computer (was on my phone yesterday!)
